Everyone wants to talk about themselves. We're losing touch with each other and more and more we are becoming conceited, antisocial ants. Ants without a purpose, except to do things for themselves and for their benefit. Sometimes these ants will help others, or do small things that may make them feel like they're serving some justice for the better of the world, but it's all fabricated. I want to be recognized as a human being. I have emotions and feelings. I am a real person, probably one of the most real people you have met. I do not understand why everything and everyone is becoming so synthetic.
One thing I will say about the generations that will follow us... I am sorry. I am sorry you will grow up with the internet in your left hand and cell phones in the right hand. Not only are we losing our ability to speak properly. Grammar, forget about it. Spelling, forget about it. Research, forget about it. Google it. Text it. Text messaging has taken over the phone industry. The convenience and lack of personal feel to it has become a number one hit.
I remember when I was younger, I would ride my bike around and catch lizards. When I caught the lizards I did not know what to do with them. I had to wait until my mom took me to the library or the pet shop so I could look at a book about how to take care of lizards. It was from there, I was able to have lizards as pets for a few years growing up. I worry that may be a thing of the past now days.
People are beginning to not be people to me anymore. They are starting to become drones. If you want to know what I am talking about, listen carefully whenever you find yourself engaged in some small talk with someone next time. Social networking websites have made it easy to stay in touch with people, no doubt. They have also made it easy to not have to deal with people as much. Reducing the need for face-to-face time. Status updates, twitter, what's on your mind. Information and news spreads at such a rapid pace with these 'tools' which have been placed before us.
Did you just buy a boat? That's fucking awesome. I would much rather find out through you. I want to hear the excitement and joy in your voice. I crave tonality. I crave facial expressions. Body language. I want human interaction. That's all.
