Because I'm unsure if
scribble_myname is lovely, or just plain mean.
Lovely. Lovely. She truly is, I promise.
1. Go to page 77 of your current manuscript/work-in-progress (or page 7 if you don’t have 77).
2. Go to line 7.
3. Copy down the next 7 lines, sentences, or paragraphs, and post them as they’re written.
4. Tag 7 authors, and let them know.
Okay. So, I'm not

Both of these are awesome, but you can guess which one has me wishing it would be okay to beg for more.

And, on a completely unrelated note, I've been haunting the Divergent Nation website, keeping up to date on news about "Insurgent". In the process, I found some neat Divergent merchandise. Is it really awful that I'd consider buying a faction pendant for myself?

And yeah, I totally take the blame. ... :thinks: It was worth it!

I'm leaning Dauntless.
Mainly because I can most certainly get on board with the idea that "courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear."
-Ambrose Redmoon
I figure that's the Dauntless ideal summed up right there.
Argh. If I didn't have a huge visa bill coming, I would totally buy one.
I need to thank you once more for your encouragement to pick the book up. I've done two re-reads, and I'm pondering one more before "Insurgent" comes out.
(TWENTY DAYS. I do not HAVE this kind of patience, dammit!)
You'll also be pleased to know that I've managed to foist the book on lots of people at work, and have gotten a fabulous response from returning customers. Yay!

I hate the fact of what Erudite is in the story, but seriously, Dauntless has some serious issues too among the leadership. I just decided that in an alternate world of the Divergent-world, I would be an Erudite Divergent. No chance I have no divergence (tests have borne out my oddity in that arena), but I definitely lean ideal-Erudite.

I think you've got it right -- ideal-Erudite is good way of putting it. The ideals are there, but their application in the world. In that case, I'd likely be an Erudite myself. Erudite leaning Dauntless (not that it's the complete story -- I've got other reasons for Dauntless -- but I get the sense that Erudite would frown on tattoos and piercings, two things I love. Heh.), I think, though again, like you said in the ideal Divergent world.
Sigh. TWENTY DAYS.

I like this idea.
And while I'm at it, I finally have some real fandom ideas percolating for Awake. The last episode was soooo awesome, BUT I've noticed the network re-ordering the episodes only hurt one storyline: Rex and Dad, but it really, really, really hurt it. I want to find out what order the episodes were supposed to be shown in and head-canon that for the Dad/Son plot.
(Really need to make me some Awake icons. I've got the images.)

Share your ideas! Because I've found no-one else to nerd out about this show with, and I want to hear headcanon and theories and dorkery.
NRGH. Planning on watching "That's Not My Penguin" (episode six -- fully caught up!) tonight after the hockey game -- does it really ruin things that badly? Because now I'm a little scared. I love the Dad/Rex thing so much, and this show BREAKS me every ten minutes or so, if not more frequently. AAAAAARGH.
If you make icons, I will ogle. That I promise. :)

And no. It doesn't ruin the relationship. Each episode is great. It just doesn't feel like it's in order. The up and down is too severe to make the right kind of sense.
On Insurgent, I missed today, unless I think of a fandom thing fast, but I got something up yesterday at least. Hm...

Okay. See, that's good to know. Though yeah, I've kinda been getting the feeling that they're being shown out of order too. I chalked it up to the sheer bizarre nature of the show's universe. It can play around with things. But I know exactly what you mean.
No harm, no foul. I'm just looking forward to seeing more! That, and the absolute nerd session that's going to commence once we've both finished "Insurgent". That's going to be EPIC.
