For once Percy's not mainlining coffee. Quite frankly, she's just as surprised as you.
It's hot water that's steaming from the mug in her hands, and from a comfortable perch on her bed she takes ginger sips between unattractive sniffs.
That's what you get for going and running errands wearing Joe's flannel shirt instead of a jacket, you dipwad, she chastises herself, cutting off the histrionics and the self-pity before either has a chance to start.
She sniffs again, and it comes out sounding rather like a snort.
She should clean her room now. It''s pretty damn bad thanks to her having to ripped it to shreds last night. No other way to track down an important document that went AWOL, really. As such, clothing needs to be folded back up, drawers need to be tidied, and all that crap lying around on the floor should be taken care of. Plus, there's laundry in the dryer she should see to.
However...
She looks over to the drawer where her DVDs are stored. Percy considers, weighing the 'ought to' of cleaning against the 'want to' of her warm bed and a movie. She absently adjusts the heavy sweater she's sporting as though by doing so she's buying herself time to think. Not that she needs to, considering she's got nowhere to be save exactly where she is.
Looking at the water sloshing about her mug, Percy watches a distorted version of herself bite down on its bottom lip.
"Lead me not in to temptation; I can find the way myself," she finally quotes aloud. The fun-house reflection in her mug gives a wry smile. It's settled: Advil for her oncoming headache, some echinacea (just a precaution; the sniffs point to an oncoming cold she'd rather avoid), more hot water, and a movie in the comfort of a bed already gently warmed by her own body heat.
There's a distinct sigh of satisfaction as Percy leaves her room. Cleaning can wait. She'll likely be cross with herself for this decision in a few hours, but she'll deal with that self-recrimination when it comes. Right now there's an afternoon of comfortable lounging to enjoy.
and your point is?,
percy is broken,
pretentious much?
