We all have to get the crazy out somehow. I have written out conversations with fictional characters as I'm writing. Some people juggle geese.

To be fair I think I have it easy as my usual story is
'Character A - Me' talking to 'Character B - Me with a vagina.'

Which actually may be crazier.

Whatever works. For a while, when my friend Amber was available and I was having characterization issues, she would interview me and I'd answer as the character. Lot of breakthroughs there, surprisingly.

It does. Though it helps that Amber is very, very good at getting the right questions.
