[ It's Been A Long Time ]
God, I fell out of the LiveJournal loop. It's just so hard these days with everything going on in my life to update regularly. And plus, I kind of forgot about it, kind of. It seems like everyone's moved onto bigger and better things, such as MySpace. I too am guilty of going to MySpace. But I don't post blogs there or anything. It just seems easier to keep in touch with people through it.
But anyway work is going alright. I'm working 6 extra shifts this month, 2 of them doubles. And I've only got a total of 4 days off this month excluding Christmas day. So 5 all in all. I need work clothes, desperately. I work at a very formal furniture store and we're only allowed certain types of clothing and whatnot and I never owned any dress pants and dress shirts and dress shoes when I started working there so I've had to gradually acquire them as I could afford and I still wear the same outfits every week and the same pants twice a week or more. I'm just too poor for dress clothes. I'm too poor for clothes period. I only have 3 pairs of jeans that fit me. I'm gonna take my tax return and totally blow it on clothing for myself when April comes around.
Christmas is in just 10 short days, folks. And I cannot wait for those gifts! Yeah, I'm not one that beleives in Christmas being about Christ. It was once, but not anymore. Now its all about the gifts and the giving (Yes, I enjoy giving too). I've got most of my Christmas shopping done. I bought my dad a Nascar jacket, my mom a watch, earring and bracelet set with blue stones and my brother a set of two matching watches, different face size (they came in a set) and a bling spinner necklace. Haha. He's becoming a wigger. But it's okay because it amuses me and he'll always be my dorky little video-game playing brother. As for Jon I'm going to buy him tomorrow with my paycheck a really cool 1965 Ford Shelby Mustang R/C car, a mod set for the body, the new Staind CD cause he wants it, and just other little odds and ends to throw into his stocking.
The news with the trailor is... There's not news. The trailor lady Donna hasn't called us. We called her a week and a half or so ago and she told us that the trailor is there at the lot, and it's going through the hooking up process. Ya know, connecting the water, sewage and electricity and gas lines and whatnot and so forth. But she told us she'd call us back and give us updates and she hasn't called us back yet. She said she's 99.9% sure that'd she'd get us in before Christmas but Christmas is growing closer and closer. A week and 3 days and that will fly by fast... And she still hasn't called us. Jon wants me to call her tomorrow and find out what's going on cause we're really trying to move out and have our own place.
So I rekindeled an old friendship. Well, actually, she did. Jessica Ellis left me a comment on my last entry. So I commented on hers. And we went back and forth and I realized how much I missed her and her quirky conversations and her good advice and insight.
So Jessica, this entry is mainly for you.
