Build A City Challenge - Southernesse [Episode 9]
Time for another episode! This one features lots of picspam, Fallout references and failed abductions.
The first born sim in this 'hood, Charlotte Hargrave the 1 point niceness aspiring Mad Scientist, moved out on her own and into this Vault-like lot I built for her. So we'll start off with a tour...

Still, Char got bored all on her lonesome...
...so I decided to take her out to a community lot.
Charlotte: "Is my hair falling out? I haven't been exposed that much!" *checks Pip-Boy for radiation levels*
I had Char invite her highschool sweetheart to check out Gomorrah, a casino inspired by its Fallout counterpart I built today, and I am very pleased with as a matter of fact. (It was a lot of work!)
It didn't take them long to rekindle their relationship. His name is Abraham Hawking and they met at the Science Hobby Club - clearly soulmate material here.

And now they're steady, too! (I have a hack that allows adults to go steady, since not everyone gets engaged right away and I still like the option of a steady relationship)
Haha Charlotte's half a Romance Sim, so she was slightly uncomfortable with the arrangement (in the background though, Abraham is clearly not!)
Are you eyeing those chems and alcohol, Char?
Charlotte: "You got it!"
Gomorrah's "Live show" area. God this was so frustrating to build! For some reason I can't comprehend I couldn't place ANY stages...I kept getting a nonsensical "can't intersect half wall/fence" error though there's obviously no fence anywhere near so I had to improvise by using walls and the constrainfloorelevation cheat...but it had a downside, the stage is now considered a different floor. >.<
The Casino proper; clearly the Charlatan knows where the money's at. Townie Dude won't have any of that shit, though (Charlotte in the background, feeling lucky)

Oh shit! He's not just interested in Char's money, apparently...
That's the third Hargrave to visit Gomorrah (Silas, Charlotte and Leah's dad) and the the not-so-subtle target of the Charlatan's interests...
Charlotte had to go home, but here's one final pic of Gomorrah's courtyard before we go!
She was hungry - I love those food replicators, though her lot is the only one allowed to have them
Once properly fed, Char made some progress towards earning that gold robotics badge
And towards Mad Scientistdom
A bored Sunday walking by (Though she's a boring Face One, she's pretty)
And a jogging townie. Pssst...I don't think the leotard is made for that :P
Later that day, Abraham moved in. Ka-ching!

Charlotte: "Eureka! Let anyone try stealing my newspaper now, haha!"
Yeah it's a little bright...but I do love the lighting effect.
Oh come on guys...there's a perfectly good and comfortable bed in the next room!
Then again, nothing about THAT expression suggests sanity, so....
Eventually they did make it to bed (no chimes either, phew!) and here's a shot of one of my all time favourite animations :D
The following day, Char's parents (Silas and Bonnie) visited. They weren't entirely convinced by their daughter's living quarters....
Um, excuse me while I go HOLY FUCKING SHIT! 50k?! I didn't even think that was possible. Well, they're never going to need money again, that's for sure...
Charlotte: "Um GO AWAY!"
(That bartender keeps calling her EVERY DAY! She didn't even know him.)
Charlotte is trying to get the attention of some old friends...
But HA, they didn't bite! (Yet) 'Fraid Char is going to have to wait another round for some extra alien probing.
