I've been playing around in Southernesse this weekend, and I'm pleased to say progress has been achieved (more about that further down)
Mostly though I've tried to keep my promise and document each play round a little more thoroughly.
First of all, the obligatory town overview, with which I'm quite pleased if I do say so myself. The map is in fact Plasticbox' Baskerville, emptied of lots and slowly rebuilt, according to the rules and my own tastes, of course.
The first round was at the Thorntons'. Methinks Harlan needs a "Kiss the Cook" apron; though his jammies do just as well.
Following her disastrous wedding party with Weston, Lily finally gets hitched in a modest ceremony. Little does she know however that Kaylynn Spitzig (the other redhead waving in the background) has sort of established herself as the town homewrecker by autonomously having affairs with two of my married sims. *eyes suspiciously* (btw, the name Kaylynn must be destined for adulteresses in this game :P)
Silas offering his clearly heartfelt congratulations.
Meanwhile, upstairs...
Harlan makes a good stepdad; Lily is rather less interested in Adonai, and she's the Family sim!
I did manage to pry her away from her manuscript and had her teach the poor kid to talk before his birthday.
Cute, huh?
Don't let it fool you; he's got just 1 nice point, and he's fully outgoing - should be interesting when he's a little bit older.
Lily's lounge (named, quite unoriginally, The Lounge) is doing great! I might yet get my second ever Level 10 business.
Drunkenly hitting on women at the bar - good times, good times.
Anyway, Lily was getting on in age, so I felt a change of look was in order; the pigtails especially didn't fit.
I'll be sad when she becomes an elder.
The second round was at the Brewster residence, and I'd been looking forward to reaching them on rotation since Weston is trying to become a Business Tycoon (and therefore unlock my Army Base at last!)
Weston practicing his golf skills to impress the higher ups and pretend he's totally not living in a fairly crappy apartment :P Still, money's pretty tight and he can't afford better yet...
...Oh wait.
Decisions, decisions...well actually this one was easy. They really did need a better place, especially with a second child on the way.
In the meantime, the already existing one grew up. This is Caspian, and he's cute as a button (I've been lucky with genetics so far!)
Weston pimping his death-defying dessert (long ago, I had a Sim burn to death by dropping Crepes Suzette on themselves...and I haven't unlocked fire alarms yet!)
Caspian tries too, with rather less impressive results.
However, a cooking skill point later...
He brought home Charlotte, a sprog from one of my other families. They're now good, if unlikely friends (since he's so very nice and she's so very...not.)
Those kid dancing animations are the cutest thing ever! *resists urge to start matchmaking xD*
I also have an epidemic of overheating neighbours. Waylon is having a particularly hard time, I think he passed out about 4 times already.
In other news - hell yeah, Business Tycoon!
Which means...
Army Base!
And these are the new recruits (I decided to have everyone start at the bottom and see who's the first to become General.)
From left to right; Esteban Garcia, Julian Caine, Amelia Eckhart, Jason Everett and Leonard Vaughn.
(as a sidenote, Amelia is actually a slightly edited version of Amyssa, my
Good Genes Challenge Entrant. So now, she actually gets a "life")
I've been looking forward to this, so it should be fun! :D
