My nephew was an idiot with my little sister's prom dress, left it lying wadded up somewhere and now it's got wrinkles in it. This dress is 100% polyester with little beads sewn in and the care instructions specifically state that it cannot be washed, cannot be dry cleaned, and cannot be ironed. (It can be carefully spot cleaned with cold water, but that's about it.)
Anyone have any ideas for how to get the wrinkles out of this thing without damaging the dress? The only thought I've had come to mind is hanging it in the bathroom while taking a steamy bath, letting the moisture in the air weigh it down. Just hanging it on a hanger for a while has helped a little bit already, but obviously won't be enough.
I'm going to take the jacket that goes with the dress, made out of the same material, with me to work tomorrow and see if anyone who works in the fabric department has any ideas, but I figure it can't hurt to pick the brains of my flist, too.
