Discount Chocolate Day and Van Gogh paint
The bad: Female womanly woes as of February 15th.
The good: Discount chocolate makes everything better. :D (This is the first time I've ever actually bought discount Valentine's chocolate. It's always been sold out all the times I ever though to check before.)
The slightly sad: Whenever I took a class that had any painting involved, one of the brands of acrylic paint that my teachers recommended was Van Gogh. Every one of them. In my art department, we stock Van Gogh acrylic paint (and oil and watercolor, but that's beside the point.) I ordered some more Van Gogh paint recently and...
I did not get Van Gogh paint. I got Amsterdam. Same tube, same paint, different brand. Upon closer inspection, I found a label that said "formerly Van Gogh."
So. I don't know if it's just a name change or if some other company took it over, but the end result is the same. Van Gogh paint is no more. I feel like some small chapter of my life has just been closed, never to be read again except in memories.
