Sounds effects! I do like them, but I'm not too sure if the 'sp' sound fits into that particular paragraph (please forgive me, all this poetry reading has seeped into my brain). They do have the right effect, though!

The last of its seductive magic lingered in the air like the memory of a passionate kiss.

I like this comparison. :D I also like the end result - a drabble, as I understand it, is like a snapshot, and you did pretty good in both capturing the moment and ending it.

I think I agree with you about the "splish" sound effects, but as I can't think of anything that works better, I am content to leave them as is.

Something d-ish? I think it would go with 'drip,' even if you had to repeat that actual word.

Hmmm. I will think about it.

From what I understand, drabbles are meant to be just what you said: a snapshot or moment in a story. The "exactly 100 words" is likely just to make it challenging.
