Well it's been 11 months so I figure it's about time to take a look at how well I've done at accomplishing the resolutions I made back in January.
Exercise more. I did go to the gym a lot second semester last year, but since I don't live on campus anymore it's a lot harder for me to find time / a good place to exercise.
Get my six pack stomach back. I actually did start doing situps and pushups at night about two months ago and I did start to see signs of the six pack. I've been getting lazy recently though. This will go back on my resolution list for next year.
Write more songs for guitar. I don't remember if I meant this to mean writing songs for the band or just for myself. I have written two or three songs and have definitely improved on the guitar. I'm also not sure if I meant just writing music or lyrics, cuz I definitely haven't written any lyrics in a long time. But I'll say I accomplished this one.
Learn to play keyboards a little bit. I did learn a few chords and actually taught myself how to play Mix Tape on the keyboards, but I haven't touched my dad's keyboards since probably around March so I think I failed this one.
Get better at using my left foot on the drums. I've been integrating the hihat into some of our harder stuff Jeff Kummer style and that means using my left foot so yeah I did this one.
Spend more time with Samantha (maybe even in her house?!). Haha I forgot all about that. I haven't seen Samantha in a few months but I did go to her house once so I guess that's a minor accomplishment
Not to date girls I have no interest in. Well I've only dated one girl all year so yeah.
Play shows in at least three different counties. It's kinda cool that I set this goal before we'd even played any shows. But let's see... Anne Arundel, Caroline, Charles, Frederick, and that might be all in Maryland but we also played in Ohio so I guess that counts too.
Be more realistic about my relationships. I plan on marrying Rachel who I've been dating for close to three years. Is that realistic?
Start a DVD collection. I'm up to 31
Read stuff while I'm just sitting bored in front of the computer. Failed. Although I don't spend as much time in front of the computer as I did last year.
Find better stuff to do than go to shows and go to the mall. I just went to the mall for the first time in months this weekend, and the only shows I go to are shows we play. I spend most of my time watching tv, doing homework, and playing Madden, which I consider better than the mall so I'm good.
That's all I had. I'll have to think of some good resolutions for next year and put them in here at the end of next month.
