in 1000 years no one will remember us. NO ONE will recall our names, our habits, our modes of speech. We will die, and our children and grandchildren will die, and slowly we will fade away until we are what we started out as-- nothing. In one billion years the human race will be gone from the universe. We are trifling things, we the living, and unable to face up to the basic truth, the truth that we do not matter, that none of us matters. Because when the last man dies, even caesar will be forgotten.
