Chuck Palahniuk, Rant
Though I have yet to read the book, I fell across the following quote from Chuck Palahniuk's Rant. It made me not only want to run out and snatch this book up, but to permanently etch it on myself, as it already means so much to me.
"We all have this moment, when your folks first see you as someone not growing up to be them."
Absolutely amazing. My boyfriend offered to pay for my second tattoo on my birthday, so I've been wracking my brain ever since (my b-day's in early November!). I came across this group, and thought it was a fantastic idea. It will go on my shoulder blade, whether I get this or something else, and be surrounded with... well, I'm not sure yet. But this will be the quote. Brilliant, and poignant.
