EDIT, NEW PLAN: i figured if i was honoring some englishman i would also honor a writer -- the writer -- from my culture. so, i'm adding a line from jose rizal's mi ultimo adios. new text:
heav'n's last best gift,
nuestro perdido eden!
the spanish translates to "our lost eden." they complement each other very well. ;) also, i'm doing the second line in rizal's actual handwriting, which i was actually able to locate on wikipedia.

the handling of ink on the 2nd one is so crisp and delicate, and it's obvious that her artist paid attention to how she is shaped. i want mine to be in shades of gray like that!
