Hi! You've inspired me to show you my literary tattoo.
It's kind of hard to see what it says, but I had to use my cell phone camera since my real one is busted. The quote is "Words words words" from Hamlet by William Shakespeare. It means a lot to me, for several reasons.
First off, it's in my handwriting. When I got to the tattoo parlor, I wrote it on a piece of paper, which they copied onto the transfer paper then tattooed it right onto me. If you can't tell, it's on my right hip, just below the pants line. It's easy to hide, which is good in my line of work, which brings me to the second reason it means the world to me. I work in theatre, and my ultimate goal is to be an actor. Everything in theatre begins with the word of the playwright, and goes from there. Actors get everything they need to know from the words. Also, Shakespeare is my favorite playwright period. I have favorite contemporary playwrights, and I like a lot of others, but Bill will always have a very special place in my heart.
I hope you've enjoyed my post, and I'd love to hear from you!
