help?

First post, long time lurker. Have unfortunately yet to be tattooed, but will when I have the means to do so.

I do have a question, though, and it's not about font or placement or anything like that. It's about...context, I suppose.

Just ahead, over the rolling wheatfields all golden beneath the distant snows of Estes, I'd be seeing old Denver at last. I pictured myself in a Denver bar that night, with all the gang, and in their eyes I would be strange and ragged like the Prophet who has walked across the land to bring the dark Word, and the only Word I had was "Wow!"

Now, I didn't want the whole thing.

What I wanted, in typewriter style font, on the back of my arm just above my elbow, was the word, with quotes and punctiation, "Wow!"

However, when I told my friends this, they, who have never read (nor probably even heard of) Jack Kerouac, and when I said I wanted, "Wow!", they immediately jumped to, "...World of Warcraft?"

You can imagine my distress. It does not mean World of Warcraft, it means...Wow!

Would this be the conclusion you immediately jumped to if you saw this tattoo? Should I not bother with it and think of something else, or not bother with the other connotation and get it anyway?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
