Have you read the Superman/Batman issue #26 (I think?) that is written by a buttload of different people and is a tribute to Tim and Kon's friendship? Because if you haven't - YOU MUST. I will send it to you if you like. Yes, yes I would be overjoyed to send you some stuff. Lacking in substance comic book stores make me sad to hear about.
Although Golden Age!! I haven't read much Golden Age but what I have is made of win.

Oh! I would love to read more Jason stuff! That's pretty much a big blank space in comic stores for the past four years or so that I've been here- I've read some issues on dailyscans on him but beh! Also, Devin Grayson's work is YUM. Have quite a bit of Gotham Knights stuff lying around. Have made special friends with the guy a the store who i've been negotiating with to buy his (entire!) nightwing collection *swoon*

It's been a while since I read it but no I don't think Tim is there when he actually dies. Or he might be standing off to the side. I'd have to look. I do know that he is there immediately after and crouching over his body and it is *heartbreaking* God, I miss Kon.
Okay yes you will get that issue and just as essential is the Supes/Bats annual with them in bed. Gayest, most cracked out fun you're likely to have anytime soon.

If you can get your friend to give you the whole Nightwing collection OMG DO IT!! The Devin Grayon stuff on that book blew my fucking mind.

Have not read Year one! - Ohhhhh god. That is the first thing to fix. I am not exaggerating when I say that it is the most happy making book I have ever read. Whenever I'm having a horrible day or feeling melancholy, I open it up and while it doesn't fix everything - it helps. SO MUCH. Dick is special like that ♥
