I see from my flist that today is Tommy's birthday and that people are posting their favorite pictures in honor of it. As I'm a lemming and a sucker for Mr. Welling yeah, let's do that.
Most people are posting The Hotass and while he's without doubt so jaw-droppingly beautiful it borders on the sickening and the divine, when I sat and thought about what my favorite face or look of his is, it wasn't one of the ones that melts my panties and makes me breathe hard.
Rather, it was the one that always sends me off into cackles and pushes my smile so hard onto my face, my cheeks are tender afterwards.

My affection for the way Tommy plays Clark is so great it overwhelms me and never more so than when he's amusing me. Which is constantly.

Look at this gem my sister and I discovered while re-watching Accelerate.
He's just saved Lana from the river and shaking she says "Clark, hold me." He of course does and it's very sweet but then he pulls that face out. Thinking about Justice and putting the smack down on Emily probably but sweet, sweet LORD THE HILARITY.
There are a hundred other examples - the way Clark stands, lies, the x-ray face, on and on. His performance is a lot like Smallville - part brilliant, part retarded, repetitive, sometimes gut wrenching, often touching, frustrating, humorous, silly sexy. It's got that charm and the thinking face is the pinnacle of it for me.

That's the face I think of when I think of Clark. The face he makes at least once in every episode. This cap is all the way back in Season 1 and look at how well he has it down already! The head tilt. OH THE HEAD TILT. I could write crappy love poems about the head tilt.

'Nemesis' is on in a couple of hours and I'm trying to decide whether it will be better to try and fortify myself for the coming stab and gut rippage, or to lay boneless and limp in the hopes that it won't hurt as much. Stupid Clark and Lex with their stupid sexy bitterness and hatred.
I've seen how excited fandom is about the episode and that makes me wary. For the sake of my own sanity, I'm trying to shove my expectations down to one - Clark will be nice to look at.
