Color(s): Dark purple. It's such a rich, bold colour, and it has with an equal degree of coolness and warmth.

Movie(s): I'm quite interested in cinema and my tastes range from blockbusters to independent film festival stuff. To name a few, though - Atonement, Easy Virtue, Happy-Go-Lucky, Big Fish, Brúðguminn, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amélie, Interview with the Vampire, Mao's Last Dancer, Sense & Sensibility, Tsotsi, Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Book(s): Where to start! Basically anything by J.R.R Tolkien, Shakespeare, Virginia Woolf, Elizabeth Gaskell, Jane Austen, Gabriel Garcia Marquéz, Anne Bishop, Oscar Wilde, Homer, Ian McEwan, Margaret Atwood.

Food: I'm Meditterranean, so I have a bit of a love affair with salad and veg. I adore Far Eastern and Italian cuisine as well. If I could afford to, I'd make sushi a weekly meal instead of a treat.

Animal: I've always found the snow leopard fascinating. I love the cat family, and I think the snow leopard is the most beautiful, independent and interesting of them all.

Season: Winter is my fave. I feel most inspired when it is cold, and preferably snowy or rainy. I would ski every day for the rest of my life if I could. The silence snow brings I've always found a little magical.

Quote/Saying: "The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Friedrich Nietzsche

the PERSONALITY

What are some of your positive traits? Independent, honest, expressive, open-minded, principled, creative.

What are some of your negative traits? Self-critical, melancholic, perfectionistic, escapist, sarcastic, detached.

How do you view love and relationships? With a mixture of cynicism and longing. I do not have much experience in this area, but not for lack of trying. Though thinking of this sometimes evokes bitter feelings, I know deep down when I fall in love, I will have so much to give, and gladly. Realistically, I think my best experiences in this area will come quite later on in life, simply due to the kind of partner I seek.

What are your some of your goals and dreams? Complete financial independance, and recognition, through something I am passionate about and enjoy doing. Someone to share it all with.

THIS or THAT (feel free to elaborate)

Optimistic or Pessimistic? Pessimistic

Realist or Idealist? Idealist

Introverted or Extroverted? Introverted

Impulsive or Cautious? Cautious

Leader or Follower? Leader, and I greatly prefer going solo if following is my only choice.

Mature or Immature? Mature

Selfish or Selfless? Mostly selfless, but to be honest, not if it will seriously compromise my own well-being.

Trusting or cynical? Cynical

Romantic or not? Admittedly, a romantic in hiding.

the HEROINE

Describe your personal style: Many layers, monochromatic tones, classic cuts. Artsy but harmonious accessories.

Describe (briefly!) your ideal romantic partner (or if you’d prefer to be alone, explain why): A man with integrity, who is loving, intelligent and confident. A true mix of worldly maturity and genuine passion.

How do you overcome obstacles and hardships? If it is in my power to change or overcome, then I deal with it through trying to understand the problem fully and approach it from new angles. If it's something I have to simply wait out, then I must cope by unburdening myself through painting, writing, or getting into a good book.

Where would you most like to live? (this may include houses, locations, climates, etc.) I'm a born and bred city girl, so ideally I would love to live in any cosmopolitan city that is culturally stimulating. I wouldn't mind a climate that is a little more on the cold side. At the moment, I live in a town for my university studies and it's made me feel a little trapped.

What kind of heroine do you think you would be? I would probably either be the one in the corner giving out 'don't-approach-I'm-reading' vibes or the one joining in the men's conversation.

Which heroine do you think you’re least like? I don't think I could be a gentle, naive type or a very sociable one.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know and take into consideration? None, thanks.
