makeyourlist - Week 62

1. A list of reasons why you love Valentine's Day.
- You get to spend it with someone you love.
- Sex.
- Negligees and similar clothing that spends more time off than on.
- You get to enjoy the moments together, rather than apart.
- Sex.
- Buying presents for your significant other. Or a friend who's your Valentine.
- Sex.
- Going crazy in buying candy, most of which you eat yourself. Sweet Tart hearts? All mine.

2. A list of reasons why you hate Valentine's Day.
- What should be expressed every single day is reduced to a globalized holiday that feeds the ever-greedy Capitalist societies of the world.
- Flowers are insanely expensive.
- There's too much pressure and too much weight put on one commercial holiday.
- If you're alone, it sucks.
- Sometimes, if you're dating someone, it sucks.
- It can feel more like an obligation rather than a spontaneous act of love.
- Women go fucking bat-shit. It's like every woman in the world is PMSing at the same time and all the men are running for cover.

3. A list of things you like to customize.
- My computer background.
- Different icons (like the Hard Drive, Trash, etc.)
- My cars.
- My suits (tailored).
- My music and lyrics.
- Gifts that I give to people.

4. A list of ways you're similar to the rest of your family.
- I shut down when I'm on emotional over-load.
- I'm social and extroverted.
- But I always keep people at a certain distance because it's safe for all involved parties.
- I love to travel and have trouble keeping my feet grounded in one place (I have family in Maine, Scotland, Long Island, etc.)
- I don't keep in touch as much as I should.
- I email more than I call or write.
- Social taboos are virtually non-existent in my every day life.
