Tattoo

I don't know what it is about them, but I can't get enough. I'm already half-way done with the sleeve on my left arm, and I really can't see myself stopping any time soon. I'd always been told that once you get one, you can't stop -- but I didn't believe it. There's something addicting in the pain of having a needle dragged across your skin and, admittedly, the feeling of it and knowing that I'm going to be getting one literally turns me on. There's a rush in knowing that you're altering your body for the sake of your own meaning, your own art. It's also as close as anyone can get to immortality. In theory, you'll have those etched drawings on you 'til the day you die (unless you decide to get them removed).

What really turns me on? Tattoos on women. I'm not a fan of the "tramp stamp," though I did look for it when I was still single and in my one-night-stands-only phase. They really are like a bullseye. But anyway, I love the way they look on women. They're always soft, demure, and alluring. The tattoos that women get are distinctively feminine -- it's kind of hard to explain. But there's always something delicate in them.

Ava's got a tattoo and I nearly came in my pants at seeing it in person for the first time. It's absolutely gorgeous on her, and I love the way it curves around her body, like a perfect trail for my tongue to follow down. It's so much softer than any of the tattoos I've gotten, which are all stereotypical "male" tattoos, with strong lines and firm designs -- nothing fluid or beautiful like Ava's.

I've thought about us getting one together, at the same time -- but I don't know if I'd last the entire session before I'd jump on her or pin her to the wall. And I have a feeling the tattoo artists wouldn't really appreciate us going at it in the middle of the shop, on their chairs. Then again, I guess that's what bathrooms and backseats are for.
