Is it common to submit a review for publication? Aren't many reviews also considered rants? If "yes" to both, then go for it, bud! :D

interesting...i guess literary scholarship CAN be viewed as embellished reviews. it's astounding how many reviews are being written on shakespeare's plays even today. the focus is a little different though: one is giving others a feel for the work so they can decide if it's something they're interested in (e.g. movie reviews), while the other is about unpacking and analyzing the work so we have a deeper understanding about society and ourselves. that's about it though ( ... )
