saw on talking points memo that dr. k.a. paul--the evangelist highly backed by republicans and the one hastert garnered publicity by praying with not too long ago--is having a press conference denouncing hastert for breaking a promise to him that he would resign over foleygate. With the midterm elections next month, Paul has launched a crusade to save America from the wrath of God and Republicans abusing their power and mired in scandal. Paul has been supported and endorsed by major Republican and evangelical leaders across the country. He prayed with President Bush and mobilized thousands of voters in Florida to help him win the 2000 presidential election and has counseled more than 60 heads of state around the world.

hastert needs to go down...but it won't matter, we only need 15 seats in the house to turn it around--and it'll happen. of course, they've completely politicized the whole hussein trial so that his sentence will be announced 2 days before the election, but whatever. i still think we'll take the house.

Election Countdown: 20 days.

chicago's first snow, right outside my door.

m'boy jeff chan at the opening night of the asian american jazz festival. in another life i work with young adults with disabilities and jeff agreed to do a special performance just for them this thursday--woohoo! the korean girl doing the drums is dohee. i've always heard she was good, but seeing her play is like watching a miracle happen.

the chicago korean music ensemble. it was a bit unfair that they played right after jeff and dohee performed, but they were still good. at one point they played the korean anthem "arirang" on a bamboo flute and i could barely hold it in. i never grew up with korean music but it still resonates with me on a profound level. it must be the han.
