I gulped another cup of some unidentifiable burning liquid down my throat and clumsily slid my hand over my mouth, wiping away any stray drops. "Whoops," I said loudly as I noticed a slowly spreading dark stain on my white shirt. "Didan' mean todo that." A gasp of giggles burst forth from my mouth and I sat down quickly, wondering why I was suddenly so dizzy.

I glanced around me at all the people who were dancing crazily to the overbearing music and drinking glasses of the mysterious liquor, like me, then down at the desk I was sitting at. Wasn't my desk. I wasn't quite sure, but I guessed it was Bob's. It was odd, you know, being the only sober person in the room. Made everything seem really funny. I giggled again and slumped back in the chair that wasn't mine. It was Bob's. I doubled over with laughter as I realized I wasn't sitting in my own desk chair.

"Mehbee I shoou' moov," I managed to slur before trying to get up. I only succeeded in launching myself forward onto Bob's desk. "Uhm, helloooo," I greeted the cool tabletop. "You feel nice." I pressed my hot cheek against it, hoping to absorb some of its coldness.

"Marty!" someone called from off in the distance, and I raised my head awkwardly, searching for the source. A blurry blob waved and I decided to nod my head in recognition. Who knows, maybe I did know the blob. "Are you excited about the New Year?" the blob asked me, coming closer. I nodded again, vaguely understanding what he was talking about. He laughed suddenly, and leaned forward with his hand extended towards my head. "You have something stuck to your face, Marty." He removed a piece of paper from my temple and stared at it for a moment before snorting with laughter. "It's Bob's New Year Resolutions. Listen to this: number one, to finally buy that spandex jumpsuit I've been wanting and hit the gym so I can wear it. Eventually." The blob looked at me with a large, amused grin on his face as if waiting for me to say something. Oh...right.

"Ahhh, that was funny," I giggled half-heartedly, not really understanding what the joke was. The blob's grin widened and he began laughing hysterically before trotting away with the paper in his hand.

I still didn't get it.
