Missing Movie Madness
So it came up today that most people in our group (
libation,
tbosky,
mimibean and others) have movies that they'd really enjoy that most people have seen but they have not.
For instance, Mimi had never seen Aliens, so we watched that tonight after Amanda's scrumptious sandwich rings. She's also never seen the Goonies, which is insane. Paul has never seen Edward Scissorhands. Boz has never seen The Thing.
For years I'd never seen Blade Runner then finally watched it with my Magic friend, Forrest. Really, I have a Magic friend, named Forrest. My current thing I haven't seen that everyone recommends is Stand By Me.
How about you guys? Anything you've always meant to watch or that friends keep trying to nag you into watching? If not let me know and I'll recommend something!
RANDOM BONUS HUMOR: So while watching the end of Aliens (spoiler alert, I guess) I comment on how cool it would be to have Ripley as a mom. As the battle on the ship continues people murmur about the awesomeness of a mom who can drive a mech, but I realize and admit that my mom is much more like the alien queen. Paul thinks it's about her reproductive capacity, but it's all about the consuming dread she inspires... well, that and the acid blood.
