I do not have time for these shenanigans! My roommate is gone until 11, but that is no reason to get back into Age of Sail fandom. IT IS NOT. I do not even have the books here! I have not read in the fandom for ages, and have just got over all the totally tragic things about it (to writ: it is small, everyone dies) Seriously, I was just telling Katebits last night that my fandoms are all tragic, and they make me want to mope about and feel sorry for myself and pretty much the entire one, because it's like an old country song in here: the booze has run out, the women have left us all, and the only thing here is my faithful old hound who just died from hypothermia, and I'm about to die, too, when I finish this chord.
Or, I mean, more with 18th C. nouns and verbs, but, basically. GOOD JOB DYING PAINFULLY, EVERYONE.
This should serve as an open letter to all suitably tragic characters in these novels that I do not have time for your tragic, hot, totally-button-pushing shenanigans.
