Okay! So I managed to rec at least one fic, each day of June. This is the first time, in the four years that I've kept this journal, where I've actually managed to post every single day, for a month. I am *so* proud of myself.

Oh, sweet Heaven. Dan manages to crash, burn, emoliate (is that even a word? act as an emollient?) adore and love. I like this so much, and I really like the way that some of the things do work out, and Dan does get to be happy, and there are functional relationships. It makes my heart sing, a lot, and very loudly. I like it when Dan gets to be happy. I am a simple woman, okay?
Top Gun isn’t gay (Okay maybe a little)

This makes me shriek! Ronon is the most subtle boyfriend ever, and Lorne just needs a little help. Come on people, it's a fandom with the Air Force; tell me there is no wooing though 'Top Gun.' I like the idea of these two getting together, and I will not make any bitchy comments about wooden acting, and alternative virtues for that. Um. Ignore the part where I just did.

Since when has not knowing the canon ever stopped me? Shawn and Gus have it out, in nine little facts. I love this, it is totally adorable and wonderful and a great many other things. I have no idea what actually happens in the canon, presumably there is crime to solve, and I think that Shawn has to help the police? I'm not actually sure, but this is still awesome and sweet and I love it, ever so much.

Veronica and Logan play a lot of poker. A LOT. Like, several days worth. Well, they're good at it, as we can tell in "An Echolls Family Christmas" and this fic is a tag for an alternate universe version of that episode. It's pretty obvious where the fic diverges from canon, and wow, it makes a lot more sense than canon ever did. No, what, I'm not bitter or anything. They're sweetly adversarial, tough, and hilarious. I love the smack that they talk, so veryvery much.

Nick didn't know about the camera. Somehow I doubt the show meant to say things about objectification, and the titillating nature of tv. Because, what ho, metaconsciousness is for shows with like, planning and thought behind them, and well, this show has, um, shiny graphics and oh, a total lack of continuity. Here, these things are smartly remarked upon, and in the context of functional relationships, and oh, Heavens, I adore it. There is an effective bridge, and nothing seems forced; I really like the ideas behind this, and the execution is elegant and wonderful.

Jack and Ianto, with time and thoughts. I like how paradoxically slow and steady this is; even as Jack and Ianto meet as their lives fall apart, there's this lovely logical progression. I am loving that seeming disconnect between form and function. This is hugely rewarding, and everything does turn out alright, which is sweetly clever.
Eight Crazy Pilots Serenity Didn't Keep
Firefly/Farscape/Stargate: Atlantis/Stargate SG-1/Star Wars/Battlestar Galatica by tassosss
Pilots that Serenity had. Inara gets a lightsaber, River makes friends with someone crazier than she, Book finds the only other black guy in space, Jayne gets drunk, and it is all awesome. I love these variations. I mean, we all know that I am a ho for things that have the "cross" prefix, fine, for "dressing" and "over," and I want to print this out, and hold it close and pet it. Um. Some of these are funny, some of these are lifting, some of them are sad, especially the last one (culurien, it didn't happen!) and gah.
Between Rose's threat to mope and Jack's burgeoning pout, it was obvious that the day was heading for being a total loss if the Doctor refused to allow the resupply stop.
