ah, the holidays. i wonder if it's even worth it anymore.

the drive home was horrendous, to say the least. i got caught in traffic behind a wreck AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES AWAY FROM HOME. i'd been on the road for almost 4 hours, and then some asshole decides to do something stupid and wreck. i was beyond pissed.

then when i was AN HOUR AWAY FROM HOME, after quite a long wait for the wreck to clear up, the bottom fell out of the sky, and i nearly wrecked myself because i couldn't see the road/lanes. it was terrifying. especially when lightning struck a McDonald's sign that i was about to pass under.

but i did make it home. then T-day rolled around, with the cowboys winning - hazzah - and my aunt making us eat thanksgiving dinner in the garage. they just moved into a new house, and because of something that happened while i was at school, no one's allowed to eat in the house anymore.

friday, i had T-2 at my grandmother's house on my dad's side, and it was entertaining as usual. but i left quite early because i had dinner plans with my other g-ma and aunt. we went to a new vietnamese place, and it was DELICIOUS. my g-ma had bun, my aunt had pho, and i can't remember what i had, but it was flat rice noodles and pork sauteed in a spicy tomato sauce. gods, it was sooooooo good.

tonight, i have dinner and movie plans with mi amigas, whom i haven't seen since summer, aside from jessi because waco is closer to dallas than austin or home. we're going to a mexican place - Gringo's - because there is just no mexican food in dallas worth mentioning. and then, if we finish dinner in time, we're going to see "hitman," because i love the ave maria in the background as he's killing people. if we don't make it, we'll see "enchanted" or "august rush," which the latter looks REALLY good.

anyway, i hope everyone had a great - if not perfect - holiday, and have a good weekend!

.
