(no subject)
okay, there was too much rain yesterday and the city canceled the fourth. fireworks have been rescheduled for saturday, but i'm not holding my breath for that either. it is hurricane season, after all. but i did write an FMA Independence Day fic for the occasion that i may post here later, if i feel like it or remember.
and i found out that my mom and aunt are conspiring to get me to teach a short-story seminar to a group of kids at a library. wtf? i may be a writer, but i don't know the first thing about writing. seriously. it's like painting, or something. i'm just born with the ability to string a bunch of words together and make it pretty. i don't have a clue how i do it, i just do! >.<
so, in case this does happen, can anyone spare a few writing tips that i could present. or maybe a nice writing activity? *is depressed*
also note that naruto + guitar = really cool fic, i think. at least my beta says so, haha. i'm not much for math. but i am writing a naruto story that has an overall music theme, titled 'dissidence' - also a music reference, and i hope i can make it work. it's looking to be a really long ass story, and that kind of scares me.
and HALF A WEEK TO HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX! a midnight showing with friends is one of the best ways to spend a day, night, whatever. and the week after that i'm moving back to dallas. wow, time sure is flying. pretty soon i'll be starting classes. mein kampf *is taking german*
