So far..
So its offically Thursday, the 4th day I have been here and I think everything is going ok so far.
The last two days I have had lunch with my speaking partner. He is a good time. I gave him his hat and he seems to like it a lot and he gave me an very cute green phone charm. At lunch yesterday some of his friends came up and said they wanted to go bowling and he invited me along. We were going after the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony thing that was pretty boring but afterwards we got to eat free food which was amasing. At the party I meet a lot of people, most of which I had seen around campus already but got to talk to more. I ended up talking to about 6 more girls and one might be in my classes cause she wants to go aboard next year and needs to be in a class where English is the primary spoken language. Something slightly amusing that happened was about 2/3 of the way through I was walking out to go find the bathroom when I heard someone say "Hey, Chiizu" which is what Japanese say when they are taking photos (it means hey, cheese!). I look and there is a boy holding his phone camara at me so I stop and hold up a peace sign and 3 of his friends jump in around me. Then I said bye and left. It was amsuing. Afterwards I chatted with more people and ended up leaving later then I wanted to get back to my dorm to meet up with the bowling group.
In the end, we had about 30 people go bowling and like 90 went kareoking(which ended up having a 2 hour wait, more about that later). I have never had so much fun going bowling before! Oee guy who was on my 'team' was from Michigan and after we finished our game of bowling and paid he invited me to play the arcade version of Silent Hill. OMG! So much fun! It was one of those games where you standing insde a little box and have a gunadn shot at things on the screen. We played for 45 minutes and I never died! W00t~ When I did died it was after a guy came and told us it was 10 and we had to be back at the dorms in an hour cause they lock the doors at 11, so honestly, I stopped trying as hard. We had made it too level 2 stage 2 ^^ So much fun! We have decided to go back again sometime when we have more time. haha After he died we headed back to the dorms.
When I got back I meetup with my roomies and wow. They were part of the group that tried to go kareoking but didn't in the end cause of the 2 hour wait. Instead they all went to the super and drank in a park. They said they had a great time and told me about 7 times that they couldn't go kareoking caue it was 2 houra wait and went and dranking the park and while at teh park they met some high school students who were super exited to met foreigners and that afterwards they went to a moonshine bar.
On a different note, I am a horrid speaking partner. I have NO idea what to talk to him about and am trying really hard. We can communcate fine, but topics, not so much. Yesterday at lunch he didn bring a map and we talked about where I was from and where my schoolw as and he showed me where he was from and a city in Japan called Toyota, named after the car company. Its kindof like Detroit. When I showed him my school and my home he asked if I cummated everyday hahah. I told him not that I live in dorms and that it was 12 hour drive. I don't know what to do. T_T
On Saturday I get to move into my host family's house. I am so excited! I have a 5 year odl sister, a house mom and a dad who is a high school teacher.
But now I have to run off to school~
