Farewell, 2006.

Five things that 2006 taught me:
1. Not to be afraid.
2. I'm pretty good at this makeup shit. ;)
3. I want more of the above.
4. Again and again that life can change in a second.
5. I have to have something cute and cuddly in my life.

Five personally significant events of 2006:
1. Making the decision to pursue makeup professionally.
2. Going to Vegas all by myself, all paid by myself. :)
3. Getting new ink (my bat-ankh and Zero)
4. Finishing my first film.
5. My first day of injury sim where I realized that not only do I like this shit, I'm kinda good at it. :) I like making the icky. LOL And fae, oddly enough.

Five things I want to do in 2007:
1. Work!! Anywhere and everywhere.
2. See amazing live shows as often as possible.
3. Create things I'm truly pleased and proud of.
4. Get my own little place to live.
5. Expand my little world.

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?:
Graduated. :-D And took a step truly towards my passions.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Don't think I made any last year, won't this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that I'm aware

4. Did anyone close to you die?
I lost a Great-Aunt, but nothing unexpected, thank god.

5. What countries did you visit?
Nowhere out of USA.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?:
Jobs, money, and love would be nice.

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory:
May 3rd - HIM/Aiden @ HOB, The day I left for Orlando, The Matches show, the Aiden show @ Firestone, the first movie I worked on - and got to join in on the zombie-ness.... I know I'm missing a lot. LOL

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?:
Making the decision to pursue this for real and going after it.

9. What was your biggest failure?:
Not having any money.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?:
Nothing more than the flu, I think.

11. What was the best thing you bought?:
An absurd amount of show tickets. :-D Music is my life.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?:
Oh, you all know who has ruled my life this year. :)

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?:
Stupid people that I see.

14. Where did most of your money go?:
Shows. :-D

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?:
Working, making pretty gore, my new ink, The Black Parade, Aiden.

16. What songs will always remind you of 2006?:
All of The Black Parade, mostly Famous Last Words. Panic! at the Disco, Kill Hannah, 'Before He Cheats'- Carrie Underwood. 'Brand New Girlfriend' - Steve Holy

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?: Happier
b) thinner or fatter?: Fatter
c) richer or poorer?: Poorer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?:
Work. ;-P

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?:
Be poor. Be afraid.

20. How did you spend Christmas?:
Did the family thing Christmas Eve, after being sick all day. Christmas itself was nice, dinner with an old family friend, and then over to Pam's to get nicely drunk and giggle all night... and have my hand cuddled. LOL

22. Did you fall in love in 2006?:
No, sadly.

23. How many one night stands?:
Technically, two.

24. What were your favourite TV programmes?:
CSI (Vegas and Miami), Dexter, House, Stargate, Battlestar, Good Eats.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?:
Joe Blasco and all of his employees. Bastard.

26. What was the best book you read?:
'Psychic Vampire Codex' by Michelle Belanger

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?:
Aiden... as I've seen them four times this year and love them to pieces, and can't wait to squish Nick, Wil, the Jakes and Angel again. :-D

28. What did you want and get?:
Confidence

29. What did you want and not get?:
Jobs. :-P

30. What was your favourite film of this year?:
Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?:
24- I don't remember. Probably went out to dinner and came home. I'm boring like that.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?:
Someone to cuddle.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?:
Jeans, chucks or flip flops, black eyeliner, lipgloss, my pirate wristband, and black tee-shirts. Incorporating my self-changed (ripped, added-to, painted) pieces when I can. Subtle-goth. LOL

34. What kept you sane?:
My muses. My friends, The Black Parade, being creative, and shows. :)

35. What celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?:
Everyone knows I have a ridiculous thing for Gerard Way. :-P But Frank Iero, Wil Francis, and Ville Valo are just under that... with Jared Leto and Davey Havok just behind them.... Okay, so I have a thing for men in eyeliner. ;) But this is not news. LOL

36. What political issue stirred you the most?:
Just friction in general btwn the parties because it stirred my household dinner discussions.

37. Who did you miss?:
Eric, Jess, Sam!, and my puppy.

38. Who was the best new person you met?:
Just one?? Nope. Katelyn, McCoy, Christina, Lindsay, Grimes, Wil.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
Don't ever stop trying and pushing yourself for what you want, otherwise you die. You might be walking around, but you're not there. You stop trying to better yourself, and you're useless. Never give up. Never die.
