little things and rainbows

Aug 04, 2008 13:35

Try not to let stupid little things ruin your days (let's not be mad at unchangeable things, like TVU, photobucket, pimples, and the weather ^_^;;)
I'm afraid for going back to Texas for school. It is soooo hot over there. T_T
But mostly I don't want to think of everything I have to fix about my classes in the first week. My indecisiveness is driving me insane. I swear, if anyone mentions school again before I'm good and ready to hear it, I'm going to scream.

VS Arashi #17

Enjoyed this episode for a few reasons:

One, the guest knew Arashi's 'A-ra-shi' and sang it^^

this made me appreciate the guy, even though I don't understand how those odd chicken movement he makes are funny...

So Nino and Ohno go for the 'ball-catching-track-running-numbered-wall' thing. Ohno's job is to say the numbers, Nino's is to catch the balls.

Nino looks larger under the basket than Ohno did, because he has broader shoulders, yeah?

Ohno tells Nino to stay pretty much under the number 6 I think, which is actually quite good advice, though everyone laughs ^^

So cute, because Nino instructs Ohno to 'properly say the numbers', in such a cute high-n-mighty way ^^

and then, Neener further adds 'Say them in a loud voice', (yes, we know about Riida's mumbling! xd)
Ohno only able to respond a unconfident, 'yeah' ;P

to top it off, Aiba says: 'You sound like elementary school kids!'
SHOCK! AIBA!! How can you talk like that?? XD

Nino did okay. he looked so tired at the end, but got a much better score than the guest. (power of youth~)

The coin tower was extremely uneventful imo (aside from the male guest having a bit of fun, which was indeed funny, but no screenies)

SO~~~ onto the pole catch!

the guest drops the poles before the time starts--Jun catches one anyway--he's quite proud of himself^^

choice king, turns out that he and the guest (name?) have been in a drama before? Was it Nino's first drama? 10 years ago when he was 15. And the guy says something about Nino before he debuted, and something interesting about Nino crying, but I think that was a lie. Very funny in any case.

crying in a car?

audience reaction "EHH?"

he's lying? ahhh. hmmm. translation come to me~~

ARASHI WINS!!
but... The prizes are still there... And maybe Sho said they should take them because if the guests don't get them it's a waste anyway? (idk)
FIGHT STARTS!! ^_^;;

So, yeah, this is an Arashi style.. fight? Rushing together and being a lovely colorful mesh. Ohno's arms between Jun and Nino is adorable though, perfect peacemaker like. He can't even try to make it look like a real fight, just holding others back--Oh Riida <3

and now to Maou, the contrast between VSA and this is incredible, srsly. O_o

Maou #5--why did I write so much?...

alskdjf;slkgj;aslfdkg!! SHOWER RETURS!
note: No more lifting the head up in the shower? This is a sign of how the mental state of our Maou has changed? Or was the water too hot? ^^

Even though it was hinted at in the 1st episode that Naoto killed Hideo in some type of unfortunate accidental scuffle, I really wouldn't have guessed that the flashback scene was holding such a great secret. We've seen that flashback about 4 times, and it looked like Naoto directly stabbed Hideo yeah? tricky thing. It's finally revealed that Noato turned the knife so it wouldn't stab Hideo, yet for some reason the other boy fell on top of him and got stabbed nonetheless. So now I just have to wonder if maybe Hideo actually 'wanted' to die, because, looking back to the first episode again, it seems like Hideo actively tried to get himself stabbed... If that's the case, I kind of hate Hideo for causing all this trouble. Now though, knowing that Naoto was not idiotic and 'bad' enough to actually stab the other boy 'on purpose' (even though he was dumb enough to do it on accident) really does make me like Naoto's current character a lot more.

The situation sucks, it's painful and real, with no distinct bad or good. Naruse has a justified reason for his anger and Naoto simply wants the pain of his past to go away--to be given some way to 'make' it go away. Naoto's friends believe he really stabbed Hideo on purpose, and that makes me so sad for him. Did he try to tell his friends the truth? Would they believe him? And Naruse... His situation is even worse, even more damaged. After causing two person's deaths, it is only now that Naruse finally starts to realize that what he's done is evil. As his revenge is underway, he's somehow making human connections with people for the first time since his family died. It's painfully ironic that after years of being alone, honing his anger and pain, it is only NOW, as he begins to initiate his revenge, that he finally learns that there are other things to live for.

beautiful bedside scene with Shiori.
Just to note, I've come to love ALL the characters in this episode. It makes me so happy. ^_^

Before, Naruse had been living only with thoughts of making people suffer--of punish3ing the ones who killed his brother, let the killer go free, and caused his mother's death. Now he's actually beginning to 'see' humanity and life and emotion again. He's met people that he can care about. But it's too late, he's been blocked off in his own dark world for too long. Even if Naruse Ryo doesn't want to be the devil anymore, he just can't stop. He can't stop, no matter how much he wants to, and it's heartbreaking.

(btw, Ohno is fantastic at moving his throat in a devasting/torn/painful way, and I'm sure people all over the world hug their TVs and computers close when they see Ohno like that, because it just gives you the urge to cuddle him so much. I AM NOT WEIRD!).

When it flashed to this scene, leading to the red room, it didn't even feel evil at all. Just sad and full of regret.
TT_TT

So yeah, Ryo is human, (though it was obvious that he was never really a devil). His regret and his guilt at Shiori's and Sora's words is plainly visible. And I'm already dreading the sadness that's sure to come as this progresses further. Though I'm pretty sure this drama will end in a tragic manner--these things always do--I would love for it to prove me wrong. PLEASE MAKE THE ENDING HAPPY >< (i don't wanna cry~~)

And I can't wait to see what happens in the next episodes with Yuuka (name?), his 'sister', rather, Naruse Ryo's sister (Because Amano Makoto is NOT Naruse Ryo, he is Manaka Toomo). Yes, I love the Yuuka, and I love that Amano is pretending to be her brother, it is. so. cool.)

RANDOM INSERT!
watched Shukudai 37--subbed by the god-like yuckie-chan. ^^
TWINS! ^o^ (saaaa, I don't really care for the guest twins, but there's another pair *points down*:

that Sho made sure to announce. (OHMIYA)

and they can also talk in unison.
okay, not very well. XD
(... no more Twin Ohmiya, eh, because that could get a little disturbing XP)

Ohno also has some pretty awesome ideas for what people must often ask identical twins

WRONG! FACE! <3
And it's LOVE how Sho + Nino tease Ohno so much for being talkative in this, yet saying all the wrong answers.

[random insert: end]

On an Arashi high right now (always)...can't wait to download + watch Shukudai-kun later today--seems like a FANTASTIC episode.

Edit: A HQ version of Arashi on Shounen Club Premium from 7/20 finally appeared on Arashi clubbox, I'm in heaven with those dancing boys--just thought I'd mention it, sooo pretty^^ (If no one uploads this, I can try out my internet connection and do it if anyone is interested. It's a large file though, about 400 mb for 20 min ^_^;;) I'm uploading it.

maou, vs arashi, screen capping is an addiction, shukudai-kun
