So, today I saw Brokeback Mountain with four of my friends, and let me just say that this movie was amazing! The story was beautifully told, and the acting was superb. I could really feel for the two main characters. It was just breaking me up inside, because you could feel how madly in love they are with one another, but they can never truly be together. This brings up a valid point:
I HATE HOMOPHOBIA!!
Why on earth do we even have to question whether homosexuality is bad or not? The answer is simple: It's not. You can't help who you fall in love with, and if two males or two females fall in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together, than I think that is just simply beautiful.
Now that I’m done with my rant, let's move on to an equally important matter: Heath Ledger + Jake Gyllenhaal + sex scene = HOTT!! I thought I was going to internally combust in the theater. My two girlfriends and I were holding onto each other for dear life whenever Heath or Jake got naked, while our guy friend kept whispering for us to keep our hormones in line.
All in all, it was a great day (and a great movie), now I leave you to dream of two certain young cowboys...
