"And that would be the most awesomest thing to ever happen in the history of ever!"

This past weekend was rather eventful.

On Saturday John, mom, and I got up at the crack of dawn to set up for our garage sale. It was a community wide garage sale, so all of our neighbors in our apartment complex were up and getting ready too. We started at 7 AM and got a few early birds customers, but then it died down for a while.

I took a walk to see what kind of signs the management had put up, to see if that was the reason why we weren't getting any customers. Now see, our complex is located right off of a main highway. There were signs on the street leading up to our complex, but there were ZERO signs on the highway. WTF? How will people know that there's even a garage sale going on unless you point them in the right direction. That's like the number one rule of good garage sailing: appropriate signs. I went back and made a makeshift sign with an arrow and stuck it on a pole where people could see it. We got a ton of more people after that. Not good planning on the managers part. >:(

Anyway, we were able to get rid of quite a bit. At one point this really cute little boy with glasses came by with his mom. He was looking in our book bin and he was grabbing all of the Star Wars graphic novels that I had for sale. I walked over and started helping him sort through them to find what he wanted. He went on to tell me that his favorite character in the films is Padme, and his favorite character in the extended universe is Mara Jade. I told him, "what a coincidence, they're my favorite, too!" You guys, he was seriously adorable. In retrospect, he kind of reminded me of the Nerd from Robot Chicken. :D

On Sunday Alex and were planning to go see Salt, but he woke up feeling really sick, so instead we stayed home and had a lazy day while watching Stargate: Atlantis. Speaking of said show, I am so totally hooked now you guys. You don't even know. We're halfway through season five right now. I was sad when they killed off Carson, but I really like having Jewel Staite on the show. I also really liked it when Sam took over, but then they had to go and replace her with stupid Woolsey. It was awesome having women leading Atlantis.

Oh, and lets not forget my favorite character: Ronon Dex. Those arms. Those eyes. That voice. That HAIR. Yep, he's definitely a new crush. I was really excited when it looked like he and Jennifer were going to hook up, but then she had to ruin it all by saying that she's interested in someone else. GIIIRRRLLL, SAY WHAT? No, you did not just turn down that hot piece of man meat. Except you did. You crazy bitch. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the rest of the series brings. I only hope the guy gets laid, because at this point, Rodney is getting more action than he is.

film: star wars, celebrity crushes, tv: stargate atlantis, moving
