On Loving A Movie

I love the movie "October Sky." It just came on. I remember the first time we saw it, as a family, in a little theatre in Rhode Island because we couldn't find it anywhere else, even though it had practically just come out. My brother had done his History Day project on Robert Goddard and rockets, so we had to see it. I remember the scene at the very beginning where a bunch of the townsfolk are watching the sky for Sputnik and they see it go by and disperse, except for Homer who's standing there mesmorized. It totally changes his life. Everyone else just sees a little light streaking across the sky and is relatively unimpressed, but you can see the passion. He stands there and watches it go all the way across, and it's this whole new beginning. I want to find something that makes me feel that way. Even so, it's amazing to watch someone else, even a movie character react like that.

I don't know. I guess it's a little cheesy. I still like it.
