Spell-Weaving

This the lock on what I've been
(This the truth beneath my skin),
This the price and this the gain
(Weave the charm to bind this pain).
Mother, can the gift you gave
(Father, are you mine to save?)
Let me stem the rising flood?
(Truth is etched in bone and blood.)
Goddess, give me strength to stand
(Hold the power fast in hand)
Dual natures bound and twined
(Truth is constant, rarely kind).

Weave the charm to bind this pain:
Truth is etched in bone and blood;
Truth is constant, rarely kind.
Hold the power fast in hand:
Father, are you mine to save?
This, the truth beneath my skin,
Leads me back to what I've been.
