A long-overdue update (and a story)

Jun 19, 2018 15:15

I haven’t been here forever, and I’m going to try hard to change that. Part one in today’s update is a general state of where I am writing wise. Part two is a bonus snippet from one of my universes ( Read more... )

As always, I love this universe. Your ideas for Aberrant Magic sound good. I'll be waiting for whatever you decide to do next. :)

I can't imagine not writing. It's in my blood.

Thank you so much. I will figure it out, but I think the royal book is next. It's not my usual. I keep wanting to throw in an alien or a dead body, but I'm restraining myself.

wait - Octopus as a guide? I mean, i like the idea, but how does that work, really... the idea of randomly seeing an octopus on land - in a tree, say - would totally freak me out. do the characters live near the ocean? and now i have to go buy this book(s) so i can read about this world....

ETA: *sheepish look* and also, i'm glad to hear from you. i don't have so many friends i can lightly lose them *hugs*

The earth is mostly water, so I already have a number of shamans with water guides. They swim through the air, or in the case of an evil shaman with a rockfish guide, he swam through the grass of the spirit plain and tried to kill people.

And I'm glad to see you too. So many people have moved on that I'm just not as engaged in LiveJournal anymore, and sometimes that really makes me sad. I miss the heyday of Buffy and Sentinel.

Hi hi hi!
It's nice to see you around!
And I'm sorry our publisher closed, that sucks.

Good luck with your new people!

I hate that they closed. I adored them like no other, and I made actual consistent money at Loose Id. I can't say that of other houses, but I'm trying to put on my big girl pants and figure out other paths.

Hi, it is great to see you again, and I really like this latest part of this universe, lovely to see it again.

When possible I will comment, but I seem yo be in hospital more frequently, but I will always go back and read.

Thank you so much. I'm so sorry you've been so ill, and if there's something I can do (forward you an ebook or something), let me know!

Always love the little extra snippets, thank you.
I'm just wondering where the best place is to get your books, now that looseID is closed. I read Claimings way back when you were first writing it and posted it on your lj. I was thinking yesterday that I'd be interested in reading it again and came to check out where to get it because I also know there's more now.
In the meantime, I'll go check out this Patreon thing. I just reread your saddled short and I think I need to read the rest 😛

I think I have my Loose Id books up on all the normal sales channels. Claimings is a little strange because I tried posting it over at Smashwords only to find I had to jump through umpteen hoops to get a Smashwords title over to Amazon. So Claimings is available in the normal places (Kindle, Apple, etc), but through two different distributors (Smashwords for most with Draft2Digital getting me into Kindle). The rest of my titles are through Draft2Digital, so I can give you universal links and you can pick your bookstore:
