'Zach was going to play the part of a mundane, largely by actually being mundane. Hummer had a habit of ignoring any requests for magical intervention unless he felt like getting involved.' 'he tried to focus on being reasonable. He reasonably wanted Art on the council'
Oh, I'm very interested in this one: 'people question your humanity and not your guide’s'
A case! Yes, I want to hear about his case!
I really like this. And, boy considering we've had 2 days ago a big scandal here with the church's believers and our drag gala at the Carnival, oh, yeah, I am very curious about this 'temptation', and church, and the vatican's side of matters.
Also Zach works better for me--I know it just the beginning, but he feel a bit different than D. Oberton, although he seems as mouthy, but less, aparently, 'airy' somehow. (I'm not saying D. is like that, but more than he plays that card. it felt that way to me, at least.) And I'm refering at his relationship with the newly revealed guid. (I remembered that hummingbird too!)
So. yes, I like this. Thanks. Take care. I wish you inspiration and energy to see it through.
Zach is not going to get the upgrades Darren did, largely because Bennu is unique among his people. He wouldn't have been the first to come back otherwise. And Hummer is attracted to Zach in part because he is very down to earth and grounded, much more so than Darren. But then again, Zach wouldn't like Kavon, so that's probably a good thing.
I like Zach:
