Mal gasped. Well damn. Maybe he were just a little bit sly.

Yeah right. Little bit my ass.

LOL! Poor Mal. He just doesn't know what just hit him.

Mal really was not prepared to get hit by the clue bus that is Blair.

Poor Mal and Jayne are so caught up in what they think it means to be sly. Fortunately Blair's just the person to 'straighten' them out.

Possible typo:
He'd be real up front about not being sly. -> He'd been real up front about not being sly.

And that's exactly it--to them, being sly is being girly or being weak or being bottom. Being sly is whatever you want it to be. Jayne can be bottom without being weak, Mal can be gay without being bottom. The boys are just all tangled up.

Now, I love Blair as much as the next person, but damn if I don't want to knock him down a peg or two. He is just too sure of himself and that what he spews is right. Of course he will say that he isn't always right which is of course proving that he is in fact always right... Crazy circular logic...

Anywho! Loving this. It has a different feel to much of your other writing and it is interesting.

He was raised by a trained companion, and that means understanding psychology and sexuality. He was then trained as a psychiatrist. So, yes, he's pretty damn sure. However, he doesn't TELL Mal anything... he just suggests that he had assumed things. If he's wrong, the guys don't have to act on his prompting.

I know, it's just, subtly, he has none... And with the crew of the Serenity, sometimes being subtle is the best bet.

*shrugs* but that is my opinion, it is your story which is awesome.
