The early stargate timeline is really interesting. We will be able to see how they work alongside the SGC, without their knowledge.... knowing about "Seth" first, but not going after him. Very interesting.
Section is manipulative, so I can see Section (even Nikita's softer version of Section) leaving those kids in the cult in order to collect information.
That is what goa'uld do... of course that's assuming they have a queen (which I don't think they do), but Section is operating without much information, which does not make for good decisions.

Oooh, so many little tidbits of information that I am looking forward to seeing develop!
Why did Makepeace give Blair a 'venomous look'? Was it just because Blair interrupted him? If so, ...oooh, methinks Makepeace is gonna give Blair some hassle and Jim is gonna smack him down soooo hard!
Yeay, you mentioned Jack. *crushes on Jack so hard* So if you are trying to fit in with canon then this is set sometime between Jack's little sting operation in 'Shades Of Grey' and Clare Tobias' last SG-1 appearance in the episode 'The Sentinel'. *snort*

Tobias was only in one episode... Shades of Gray. So, in my world, after getting convicted of treason, her and Makepeace got "welcomed" into Section.
And wow. I so need to not write when I"m sick. That's a whole lot of typos! There is definitely something going on with Makepeace and Blair (not that Blair knows it), and Jack will definitely be making an appearance here, so I'm glad that you're enjoying those bits.

These aliens had obviously watched far too much Flash Gordon before trying to infiltrate Earth culture.
*snerk!*
As for why Makepeace is giving Blair the stink-eye, I figure Blair's pushing the same buttons that Daniel pushed, and getting M's "Damn longhaired civilian geek" reaction.
Wow. I'm really glad you're writing more in this universe.
I've watched LFN quite a few times, and find Section utterly terrifying. You are illustrating how dangerous they are really well here, because you are showing it through Jim's eyes - he is constantly assessing strengths and weaknesses, and is fully cognisant of what they are capable of and how truly powerless he and Blair are. His high alert state makes me feel, as a reader, really on edge! You are creating the necessary tension really well, in a scene where people are basically sitting around a table - which is very impressive indeed ;-)
Section is terrifying, which is one of the things that I truly love abotu them. And since this is essentially a two chapter info-dump, I'm glad you can still feel the tension in it. I just don't want another 400 page story, so I'm playing with ways to cut to the chase.

Answer in the form of a question: How is Blair just like Daniel Jackson?
I like this already.
And I feel you on the trying to write while fingers are stiff from flu...
Thanks again for writing!
