I stalled on CI again. This is a big, complex universe and it's getting harder and harder to write as the threads start to pull together. Anyway, the brain suddenly wanted easy... borderline fluffy... very silly.

OMG, Night Court was the only sitcom I have ever liked, and you got the voices and the banter down perfectly--as well as the obvious whiplash anyone *sane* would get walking into that courtroom...

Okay, I'll admit it. I got the bunny, and because I haven't seen the show in a while, I had to go buy season one. You know, that show really holds up well. I watched three episodes as I was writing, and I fell in love with it all over again.

"Talk?" Blair's voice sounded higher than normal, and the flood of words had vanished.

"Or flop," Jim conceded. A little pheromone bomb went off, Blair at ground zero.

"Oh man," Blair breathed as Jim steered them toward an elevator. Maybe the whole vacation wasn't a waste, Jim thought with a smile. Suddenly, flopping seemed like a pretty damn good idea. Flopping with Blair sounded even better.

The brain just needed something short and sweet. This seemed like the perfect solution. And it gave me a reason to go buy Night Court season one.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes the brain just wants to do something a little simpler than CI. That story needs crafting... this one just falls on the page *plop*

Oh, I'll admit that I hear voices in my head when I read/write, so I'm glad to inspire that in others!
