I have hung pictures in our house!!!!! Break-through! This is the longest I have lived in one place for about 10 or 12 years I think.

But what I really wanted to talk about is a  great basic formula for hanging pictures:

Measure 61 inches from the floor and add 1/2 the length of the picture; then, subtract the number of inches you have from the apex of the wire or string  on the back of your picture (when it is in the taut hanging position) to the top of the frame. Mark this location on your wall. Next, find the center of the  width of the space you want to work in. Mark that space and then  intersect the two marks. Hang your hardware/hang your picture!
