12 Fathoms Down ☠ [accidentally-on-purpose video]

May 28, 2011 13:11

[When the video feed clicks on, it reveals--by the soft glow of candlelight--Jack Sparrow sitting across from a slender woman with long, flowing auburn hair wearing a tight leather dress. She can only be seen from the back. In fact, that beautiful hair is definitely a feature of this video. The pirate's arms are firmly around her as he leans in for ( Read more... )

[ the filter's mostly on principle -- though she makes a point to switch her journal to voice and avoids being caught by the little book's gaze. no need to see her face.

but her voice is as breezy as can be. careless. ]

...Jack Sparrow - one. Discretion? Zero.

[ just because she agreed with this plan doesn't mean she likes it. doesn't mean she's not hurt by it. ]

[Jack is just going to pretend that Grell can smash any filter ever.]

No need to be jealous, slayer. I'm certain you'll find a man in the best of taste one day, no worries.

[ it's less about keeping grell out and more about keeping everyone else out. or perhaps about expecting grell to get in and finding only this. something like that. buffy isn't sure, anymore. ]

Jealous? Puh-lease.

Not jealous? You hear that, Jilly love? We're not tryin' hard enough at the romanticality it would seem.

Poor her. Stuck with a pirate who doesn't even know how to set the mood. I don't hear any smooth jazz in the background.

Smooth....smooth jazz? That's a requirement...?

[ she wished they'd had some sort of a system set up -- a way to mean other things. sometimes, it sprouted organically between the two of them. double-talking their way through almost everything; however, whenever buffy tries to do the same? on purpose? her mind blanks.

it's so very frustrating. ]

See? Hopeless. I don't even know what she sees in you -- Jilly. [ buffy keeps her voice evenly sarcastic. play the part. help jack out. fill the gaps in his plan. ] She must not have too much sense under all that...hair. Not like the other one. [ because someone needs to give the impression that there are two of them. ]

[He leans forward to where the dummy is apparently whispering in his ear.]

Jilly! That's so naughty, lovely! Ha! Ha ha ha ha! Oh, stop it.

Miss Summers, Jilly sees many things in me, but none of them can I broadcast to you now, on account of you'd blush tremendously and your virginal ears would cry out for mercy from the sheer amount of burning desire they would feel at the revelation.

[ they should have at least come up with a code word for that's cruel. ]

I'm so happy you two are happy. [ dry as a bone. ]

[Probably. Or "don't sound so blithe about this, Jack."]

Happy and completely satisfied in mind and body. A match made in paradise, really.

I'd take a match made on neutral ground above paradise. Any day. Paradise's somewhere a little too far to fall from.

[ she's hinting at you, jack sparrow. this isn't an experiment but if anything counts as the sort of thing that needed a tree-house meet up, it might be this. ]

What's that, Jilly? Alright, darling, if you insist.

[There might be the sounds of a dressmaker's dummy sort of toppling onto the floor.]

Jilly had to go, sadly.

You've gotta have a pretty early bed-time to wake up with enough time to look after all that...hair.

[ buffy doesn't even know what she's saying anymore. the important part is that it is all said with great vitriol. ]

You do not like long, flowing, beautiful red hair? [So like Grell's really...] Pity. I find it captivating. Though now it would appear, sadly, that I am at a loose end.

There's only one redhead for me, sorry.

[ buffy is gearing up to go out, anyway. there's patrol. and she would go to the tree-house after sunset and she would wait -- but not too long. not with a guest in the house. ]

[By the time she arrives at the tree-house, she will find that there is already someone there, sitting quietly in the corner and mending a torn hammock.]

Hallo.
