[Jack is home from his seaside adventure and immediately writes out four very quick notes to certain people, not bothering with filters or any of that rubbish:]
[Sitting on the riverbank near the bridge, actually clearly on the opposite side to Giles and staring at the water like it has all the answers to the universe. Be a pretty awesome river if it did, really.]
Sorry! Thought you might be sleeping, or under some enchantment, what often strikes beautiful, docile, gentle, red-haired fair maidens such as yourself.
Three out of five isn't bad. [Mutter mutter grumble. But she's getting up and dusting her jeans off. She'd thank you for the distraction, really.] What are you doing in this neck of the woods, anyway?
[Such question causes a very slight misstep in her stride along the bank before she joins him on the bridge.] Not a great deal. It'll fix itself eventually, I'm sure.
I had a fight with a friend, that's all. [She totally counts demons of chaos in amongst her friends now.] What about you? Everything all right at your end?
Very sorry to hear that, darling. [Jack takes a seat on the bridge, not minding the light rain that has started up again. He dangles his legs over the side.] Seems to be alright. Not dead and all, just back from the ocean...
