well, so a few decisions have been made.
I'm leaving the salon and returning to Lane Bryant to fill a 20-hour a week stock position. so, the perks of LB, working with people I can relate to, the flexibility of stock instead of sales, and very minimal customer interaction. making the same as I was at the salon. I gave notice today, and my manager said she understands, she could tell I wasn't happy, and said if I ever found myself looking again, I should try applying at the call center. so that was nice. ESA is also hiring again, if it weren't for the crappy hours, I'd seriously consider going back.
I'm in one of those points in my life, again, where I'm not keeping friends well and it's because I'm not taking care of myself much. my transition from summer has been a little rough. I was still out late on school nights for the first two weeks, not getting enough sleep, etc. homework was still getting done, oddly enough, but yeah. from now on, less card playing, and I swear on all that's holy, this is my semester, all the work will get done. this has never happened in my whole life. my work ethic sucks, but I'm trying.
I've been emailing back and forth with two individuals and one band interested in meeting with me under creative/musical pretenses. I keep telling myself that I'm not committed to any of them and don't need to feel bad about potentially telling two of the three that I've found something else. I'm leaning more towards the band at this point, but we'll see what happens. all I know is that I've wanted this for a very long time and it feels good to be doing something about it. I need to start writing more lyrics.
I really want to start working out again and I need to make a committment to doing so. this will be a rough one to make time for. if there isn't enough time and something has to give, exercise is always what gives and I need to work on that.
last but not least, tomorrow I'm going to attempt to tell my mother something that I've been putting off for at least the better part of 5 years now.
I'm depressed, I have been for a long time, it's not going away, and I need help.
This is HUGE, because I've pushed past the point in my life where I thought I could never reveal this. I've attempted to get help before through school, but it wasn't what I was looking for, and by that I also mean I wasn't ready. now that I have health insurance again, it's time.
ready, aim, fire.
more at a later date on my post college plans. yes, I still have a year and a half left, at least. so I'm planning ahead.
let's go.
