(no subject)
I'm pretty proud of myself. I knew I had some last minute studying that I really had to do so I went to the library to get my work done. Sat in the same place for 6 hours straight and got all my Art History study guides done(Probably shouldn't have taken that long, but I like to get lost in text.) Now I just have to study them... geez this just isn't my game.
Also when I was reading the Perfomrance Art section I stumbled across a piece that Acconci did:
"In an action of 1972 called Seedbed...he attempted to explore the distinction between public and private space. In this work, the artist crawled under a ramp and masturbated while viewers walked on the ramp over him. The viewers could not see him, but they were informed that he was under the ramp masturbating, and they could hear him through a sound hook-up, which he used to invade their psychological space by making uncomfortably transgressive statements such as, 'I'm touching your ass.'"
I can only imagine what kind of terrible performance art was going on in that rest stop bathroom back in the summer. D:
