This week in the land of listeme

Feb 06, 2011 12:13

Okay, some of it was maybe boring to others.  John found and then retrieved a rocking chair from freecycle, a somewhat dirty and rickety white wooden rocker.  The dirt came off.  Glue and magic shored up the rickety.  Then he ordered cushions from the internet, and I have a comfy chair!  I like that guy John.

Boring to others and fascinating to me:  I made a lot more plastic bag yarn and the prototype of a plastic and yarn blend bag.  I'm not thrilled with the prototype and will make another.  The blend itself is awesome, if I do say so myself.  It is strong, moldable, tweedy.  I have some cotton tee-shirt shred that I'm going to make a blend with, as well.  I suspect that it will be just too stretchy, but I was pleasantly surprised at how UNstretchy this first batch was.

I caught the eye of not one but TWO deranged lunatics of the birther world.  They quickly determined that I was boring and moved onto shinier folk.  Infamy is so fleeting.

And I made about 1.5 inches of progress on a novel project.  1.5 inches could mean many things.  It's about three words of type, or half a ream of paper.  Please don't guess.

Zero progress on getting ready for Bethesda Collins, unless you count losing a bunch of lexulous games to John and Glo.

Happy week!
