Today Ash has been quite uncomfortable and restless - pacing, shivering and panting. She probably has not eaten and she vomited once, early on. There has been a persistent whine, which has Lissar pacing around the house, until Ash heads out to the lawn. Then Lissar paces the lawn.
This lasts for the longest six hours of Lissar's life.
Then the second stage of labor begins, with uterine contractions starting in force. The first sign of this is the breaking of the placental water sacks and a straw-colored fluid draining out.
