Okay, so this girl that goes to my old high school, she's on the JV dance team so I didn't shoot her a lot but sometimes I'd take pictures of JV and I was always around, right. So we've been Facebook friends and then a couple of weeks ago, she messaged me asking if I'd do headshots for her, she was starting with a talent agent and needed some. I sent her my info/rates, they were fine, we tried to schedule that weekend but I had a bunch of shit and she had dance, whatever. So we tentatively planned on tomorrow and didn't really confirm since. I just texted her, "Hey gal! Still want to shoot tomorrow?" and then she was like, "I'm sorry... who were you trying to contact?" Um. Okay so I went back to her original message, checked the number she gave with the one in my phone and they were the SAME so either she had a typo when she first wrote it, or she's fucking with me which, let's be honest, she wouldn't do - we're nowhere near close enough or familiar enough to even think to screw with, you know? So I respond and I'm like "[insert girl's name]? For headshots?"

And this person was like, "Wrong number... but I do need a photog. Got a website? (Is this your marketing strategy?) :D" So like, I'm kind of creeped out!~ I asked her what kind of photos she needed, and she needs "both candid and formal shots for a band, 5 guys aged 45-55, friends for 30+ years." She gave me her (real) name and told me to feel free to call her if I wanted to chat. So I suppose I could call her - I googled the name, she's got a twitter and a linkedin (she doesn't have a facebook - this concerns me) with pictures of her face and she's local, so it makes sense but it still kind of freaks me out, you know? Jason said it seemed odd that a misdial would respond like that but that I'm a lucky person and accidentally texting someone who turns out to be a client is exactly the kind of thing that would happen to me. And I thought like, maybe she's the same type of person? If *I* got a wrong number from someone who happened to do something that I needed, I'd take it as the same sort of luck and go with it. I don't know. So I guess I'm just asking if I should actually call her or be freaked out. Because there was also that one time where some guy started texting me, convinced he met me at some fucking ice show with my dad and I was like, "lol no way" basically but he knew my name and the city where I lived so I knew it wasn't a misdial. I didn't know how he got it or if some bitch I went to school with was out there giving out my name and number to guys she didn't like. It freaked me the hell out.

IDK it's just weird, like I want the work, but it's either really lucky or really sketch and the problem is, I don't know which. DO YOU THINK SHE'S A RAPIST. WHAT WOULD YOU DO.

question for you, talk - texts
