Went to the bagel shop for lunch yesterday, played Hive, and then went shopping. Jason decided he needed some nice dress shirts, so I took him to Express. Oh my god I love Express so much, I've loved it for their girl clothes and I've ALWAYS *loved* their guy clothes but I'd never taken a guy shopping there. We picked out 5 really bold, bright/

I'm one of those people who doesn't care...BUT I HAVE A GOOD REASON. There is a huge federal election in Canada tomorrow (some people say it's a "waste of tax dollars", but there's talk that it will be the kickstart of some serious and sorely-needed political change in the country...AND my personal party of choice is gaining so many points in the polls and it is EXCITING, and it is CURRENT), and most of the news coverage this week leading up to it has been of two people who are so far removed from the issues that actually matter...like I get that it's history and I appreciate that everyone is happy about it. That's fine. Is it fine that I haven't heard anything on Canadian media reminding people to vote but have seen Kate Middleton's dress 246784673489 times? No, that's not fine. I know it's symptomatic of a larger societal problem, but it still really frustrates me.

ANYWAY, my $0.02. (Also I tend to hate fairy tale love stories anyway so I guess that's influencing my opinion, bahahaha)
